To timeout or no timeout

At what age is it okay to timeout? I believe that my friend's who are letting us watch their 2 year old son were correct in timing out right from the beginning.... This is the rules that she gave me for her son.....

If he's not listening, feel free to put him on time out (hands and forehead against wall) and tell him why he's on time out for at least 2 minutes. He might cry or start saying "my mama or my dada", just ignore him and don't feel bad. afterwards, tell him he can come to you and then ask him to tell you why he's on time out. He'll mumble something then tell him why he was on it. Ask him to say sorry to you or Sonya and then he should give you guys a hug and say sorry.

I believe that this is a very good way of disciplining a child and helping them learn what is right and wrong.

Beej, check this out. 27mpg over 179.7 miles..... can you do this???? I had it as high as 31.5 for a little while....
